The BIB System is designed to bring about weight loss in obese patients, by partially filling the stomach and helping them to have a feeling of satiety and fullness. The objective of the BIB system is to assist with weight loss among individuals who are at least 40% above their ideal weight and who have been unable to obtain prolonged weight loss with other programs. It is also particularly useful for individuals considered too overweight or for whom serious surgical procedures pose high risks.
